On the 9th and 12th of August, Seafood Scotland is set to host two festival showcase dinners in Edinburgh as part of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival celebrations.

The A club, sponsored by Seafood Scotland, is situated in the heart of Edinburgh at The Merchants’ Hall, a stunningly majestic venue taken over during the Edinburgh festival by the Arbikie company.

Alongside the sponsorship, Seafood Scotland will host two ‘Spirit of Seafood’ dinners at the venue, paired with Arbikie spirits. Guest from across the UK will attend the dinners including Chefs, Restaurateurs, Scottish seafood producers, Media, Influencers and Bloggers.

The dinners will be prepared by the renowned private chef; Mark Heirs under his Privé brand and will feature a variety of Scottish species including scallops, cod, brown crab and salmon. These will be paired with Arbikie spirits to create cocktails which will complement the dishes and bring out the flavours of the seafood.

Clare MacDougall, Head of Trade Marketing for North America and UK said:

‘We are delighted to work with Arbikie and Mark Heirs on the Spirit of Seafood events, as they provide the perfect showcase for our high quality and sustainable seafood, with an added little twist in the drinks pairings.

We have a great mix of buyers, suppliers and media amongst our guests with some high profile celebrity chefs from across the UK coming along to join us.

And it’s the perfect opportunity to highlight the Edinburgh Fringe Festival alongside the wealth of great food and drink that the city has to offer.’
